Wisconsin Bicycle Routes
Public Transportation and Bicycles

Wisconsin public transportation systems have generally lagged behind other US transportation systems in accomodating bicycles. Here is a list of systems known to carry bicycles:

Metra runs trains between Kenosha and Chicago. It allows bicycles during non-peak hours.

Kenosha has racks on most buses. It is expected that Racine buses (with the same operator) will soon start to add racks.

Madison has bike racks on all its buses.

The Milwaukee County Transit System recently added racks to its buses

La Crosse has bike racks on all its buses ($2 pass needed to use).

Eau Claire has bike racks on all its buses.
